Sleep Support Program for Neurodivergent Children
Autism and Inclusive Practice: Applied Professional Development for Educators

Evidence- based NeuroNest Sleep Program
Calmer bedtimes and more settled nights for neurodivergent children.
It takes 60 minutes or more to fall asleep
They wake multiple times and need you to help them resettle
Mornings start very early, often before 6 am
Bedtime brings anxiety or separation distress
They seem restless, “wired but tired”, or sensory seeking at night
Does this sound familiar?
How NeuroNest supports your child’s sleep
Sleep challenges are common for neurodivergent children and are often linked to regulation, sensory needs, anxiety, and circadian rhythm (body clock) differences. That’s why routines alone don’t always work.
The NeuroNest Sleep Support Program is designed to look beyond routines and understand why sleep is challenging for your child.
We work with:
-
Nervous system regulation and emotional safety
-
Sensory needs that affect settling and sleep quality
-
Anxiety and separation stress at bedtime
-
Sleep biology, including circadian rhythm (body clock) timing and sleep pressure
By understanding these drivers, we create a plan that fits your child, rather than forcing your child to fit a generic sleep approach.
Why this approach works
Research consistently shows that sleep improves for neurodivergent children when support focuses on regulation, sleep biology, and parent-supported strategies rather than routines alone.
Studies of brief, structured sleep programs for autistic children have found meaningful reductions in sleep difficulties, including faster settling, fewer night wakings, and improved parent confidence, with benefits often maintained over time.
Our three session NeuroNest Sleep Support Program draws on this evidence by combining an understanding
of circadian rhythm (body clock), sleep pressure, and nervous system regulation
with practical, family-centred support.
